This month’s 85 South Out & About featured a makeover session by Doug and Claire. Here’s what they had to say…

At Star Salon we met with stylists Doug and Claire for a “Blonde Mom Makeover” for our mom model, Amy – a busy mom and manager of a local RBC Branch. Amy is on the go this summer and gearing up for getting two children ready for school. Moms need and want to look good too! Amy’s hair is long in length and fine in texture and the color is a washed-out blonde in need of some pizazz.

1. Doug talked to Amy to see what her needs were with hair color. Amy was for sure looking for low maintenance. Doug wants to brighten the blonde highlight to a lighter blond and use her natural color to blend the color.

2. Doug did a partial highlight to “kick up the color,” allowing the colors to brighten up Amy’s face.

3. Claire took almost 4 inches off the length of Amy’s hair giving it a thicher and fuller look.

4. Claire adds healthy long layers all over and around the face.
